Enchanter Build Empty
PostSubject: Enchanter Build   Enchanter Build EmptyFri Sep 19, 2008 7:36 pm

To those who are new to the concept of chanters, they are a
mainly a support class that can be extremely PWNAGE if played properly.

There a 3 main types of chanter, which include:

a) INT based

b) WIS based

c) STR based

INT based chanters:
These are pure support chanters, generally good for those with lower
magic staffs. Higher INT makes for higher weapon enchant, weaken, seal
and magic cell skills.

Builds: A person
making making an INT chanter should abide by these principles: 1) If
you do not have enough INT, your skills will not deliver the desired
effect and 2) If you do not have enough dex, you can't escape when
situations get sticky.

INT/DEX builds are generally comprised of:

240int 160dex - High level
INT skills, higher dex than most classes, but not enough to save you if
you're running from another dex based character.

220int 180dex - Max level
chanter skills, but lower vampires kiss, magic cell etc. Very fast, if
your in a race for your life, expect to win.

160 INT 240 dex (Not recommended)- Level 4.0 chanter skills, but uberly fast.

Skill bases: Skill bases for INT/DEX chanters are generally comprised of:

Weapon enchant (4.0 or higher)

Weaken (4.0 or higher)

Seal or/and halt (3.4 or higher)

Magic cell (3.4 or higher)

Crush(4.0 or higher)

General INT based chanter tactics:

This is a complete support type class. Buff, weaken, dispell, call-
INT chanter in a nutshell. They ARE good however, for power leveling
others, and party lvling/farming situations.

WIS based chanters: Another support class, good for those with higher magic staffs. High WIS makes for uber heals, extra buffs and perm stuns.

Builds: WIS
chanter should, again, be aware that it support before stepping into a
war. However, with a good magic staff and proper application of skills
and stat points, a WIS chanter is a pain to kill.

Typical WIS chanters include:

160 INT 160 DEX 190 WIS:
(Recommended) Healing, buffing, weakening, stunning, halting,
dispelling. This build is the ultimate support class. Fast enough to
outrun most enemies, and has enough skills to save itself in almost all
other situations.

190 INT 160 DEX 130 WIS:
Sacrifices WIS for max INT skills. Still VERY strong support, but
mainly used for those with lower magic staffs, or those in leveling
parties/farming parties.

Skill bases:

(My recommended build for 160int160dex190wis)

4.0 crush

4.0 first aid

4.0 weaken

4.0 weapon enchant

3.2-4 magic cell (2 extra blocks than 3.0)

3.4 halt

4.0 seal (these 2 skills make for permanant net Enchanter Build Icon_razz)

0.5 bless (4.2k magic capped)

(Other build- higher INT)

4.6 crush

3.0 first aid

3.2-4 magic cell

4.6 weaken

4.6 weapon enchant

4.6 seal

3.0 halt

(ADVICE: For higher INT skills, IF you have a higher magic staff
(2k-hardcap) DO NOT EXCEED 4.0 skills. This is due to "capping"(refer
to bottom topic))

WIS chanter tactics

WIS chanter should utilize all its skills as efficiently as possible.

Here is a scenario: You are being attacked by a high level, high
damaging attacker. The attacker has cast Flexibility and is running
towards you. Your other party members are indisposed.

Step 1: HALT. (Longer range than seal, which gives the server more
of a chance to catch up, reducing the distance the attacker gains after
the cast, and breaks flex.)

(Attacker nets you)

Step 2: Use crush (dispells flexibility, slows enemy)

(Attacker accesses lysis, advances)

Step 3: Cast 1.6 blaze gavel, wait for party to realise your distress, utilizing permanant stun.

Should the attacker resist the stun, a quick combination of seal/
halt+ blaze gavel is normally sufficient at putting him back to sleep Enchanter Build Icon_razz (it takes a bit of practice though Enchanter Build Icon_wink)

STR based chanters:
The more "solo" type of enchanter. Good for tactical fighting, but less
likely to win in "brute force" fights if attacking an enemy DESIGNED
for "brute force" attacks (attacker, warrior etc)

Builds: There are 2 main types of STR chanter- those who are support, who just want to defend themselves Enchanter Build Icon_razz, and those who want to rip up map 3 by themself.

These builds are:

160 INT 160 DEX 190 STR (Recommended) A solo character, fast, tactical, and strong with a good enough sword and robes.

190 INT 160 DEX 130 STR More of a support class, but with ability to [Removed] anyone who gets too close.

Skill bases

(Solo chanter)

4.0 slight

4.0 weaken

4.0chant

4.0 dispell

3.4 halt

4.0 seal

3.2 magic cell

the rest.....critical strike Enchanter Build Icon_razz

(Support STR)

3.0 slight

4.6 weaken

4.6 chant

4.6 dispell

3.4 halt

3.4 magic cell

seal 4.0-4.6

critical strike Enchanter Build Icon_smile

General STR chanter tactics

A solo chanter needs to utilize 4 main skills, weapon enchant,
weaken, dispell and slight. Lets take the WIS chanter scenario. An
attacker is running at you, your party members are indisposed Enchanter Build Icon_razz .

First, cast weapon enchant upon yourself, and eat a blue pot before the fight.

Step 1: Halt.

(Attacker nets you)

Step 2: Cast dispell (INSTANT) + 1.6 weaken.

(Lysis)

Step 3: (need blue pot for assurance that cast will not be interrupted) Halt.

(Power Drain/Skyrocket) etc

Step 4: Slight attack and run.

(zzz)

Step 5: Weaken, halt/seal

(Dispell- if they have that pot on them)

Step 6: Halt/seal

(zzz)

Step 7: Slight and run.

REPEAT....

The better your sword is, the fewer times you will have to repeat this process.

Final note, CAPPING: When you have a high magic staff, and you are acessing a buff, you may "CAP" it at a lower level. For example:

When you are level 50, weapon enchant can only go as high as 5xx damage.

80: 960 damage

90: 1080.

This means, regardless of the level of the skill, you can not
exceed this amount of damage on your cast. As a result of higher magic
staffs, you will generally reach this cap at lower and lower level
skills.

A level 1.5 bless is the max buff you can get with a 4k magic staff
at level 100. Likewise, a 1.6 cast of weapon enchant is generally max
at this level with max magic.
